La vie en Kaws
43" x 56" in
(109 x 142 cm)
In "La vie en Kaws" Aket delivers a captivating 142 x 109 cm canvas that uniquely blends the iconic KAWS character with a playful twist on street art. At the center of the painting, the renowned blue KAWS character tenderly holds a human-like orange spray can with arms, legs, and a head shaped like a spray nozzle.
The human spray can, in turn, grasps a blue spray can in its hand.
The background comes alive with a dynamic array of doodles and graffiti, creating an urban atmosphere. This piece serves as a commentary on the ever-evolving world of street art, highlighting the symbiotic relationship between artists and their tools.
The KAWS character represents the artist's creative spirit and vision, while the humanized spray can signifies the transformative power of art tools as they become an extension of the artist's identity.
The cyclical nature of creativity and artistic inspiration is further emphasized by the blue spray can in the hand of the human spray can, illustrating how artists and their materials continually shape and influence one another. Aket's "La vie en Kaws" masterfully combines popular culture and street art, providing a thought-provoking exploration of the relationship between artists and their mediums.
This striking piece not only offers a unique visual experience but also embodies a profound statement about the power of art to transform and connect us all.

About AKET
Aket (also known as Aket Kubic) is a French painter who has been a self-taught artist since his early childhood. He was initially influenced by comic books and graffiti, but today his primary inspiration comes from cubism, although he also appreciates the works of artists such as Combas and Basquiat.
From the time he first started creating graffiti, Aket has always signed his art pieces with the name "AKET." It was only ten years later that he began to sign his artwork with this name, which has now become his signature.
Over time, Aket's style has evolved to include deconstructed portraits in which he multiplies elements and shapes of the faces, accentuating the features and lines. His artwork is heavily influenced by cubist painters such as Picasso and Condo, and he shapes faces in a playful, ludic way that can be both abstract and figurative, but always cubic.
In his artwork, Aket likes to draw from everyday life and music, using French jokes and battles of wit to recreate a frozen world from the old days. He enjoys representing life and the many facets of a person, from bistro scenes to musicians. The black lines in his paintings highlight the different and complex shapes of a face.
Today, Aket devotes himself to creating lifestyle scenes both indoors and outdoors. His final step is to give life to the representation of daily scenes and actions, bringing a sense of movement and energy to his artwork.
